I just started getting into The Sims 4 and was looking through some of the expansions and different packs you can purchase for the game on Origin. There are some I’ll pick up before the others, but I think my goal before The Sims 5 comes out is to have all the expansions and packs from The Sims 4. There might be some who will tell me some packs aren’t worth the money, so I’ll put those on a list of “when they’re basically the price of a burger” sale.
When it comes to the original Sims, I believe I only played the original game because I didn’t own it myself, I played it at someone else’s house when I was a kid, so I’m not sure what they had. This list will only be from The Sims 3 because, honestly, that’s the game I played the most in my personal history of The Sims.
The Sims 3: Into The Future
I’m not sure how well-received (or generally disliked) The Sims 3: Into The Future was, but I remember it being the last expansion I played before I quit The Sims 3 almost a decade ago. I remember recording a couple of videos for it and enjoying what little I experienced. I don’t see an expansion pack for The Sims 4 similar to Into The Future, so it would be fun to see what they would do with it.
The Sims 3: World Adventures
I remember buying The Sims 3: World Adventures, but I didn’t do much in it except for visiting China. I know you could visit Egypt and France, but I never got around to playing them. There were some challenges and puzzles to play, but I only ever watched other YouTubers play them. I’d like to visit other real-life countries in The Sims 4. I know the new Snowy Expansion has you visit Japan (or a Japanese-inspired location?), but it would be fun to see where we could go in The Sims 4 besides tiny sections of land that pales in comparison to The Sims 3 areas.
Those who enjoyed the first 3 Sims games, which packs would you bring back that don’t exist in The Sims 4?
